Summer Social Justice Camp (Washington County)

Join us for our day camp focused on social justice that’s facilitated by youth for youth!

Who: students going into 8-12th grade in or near Washington county

When: August 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14 - exact times TBD

Where: Firefolk Arts - 4412 Main Street, Waitsfield, VT

What: Participants will choose topics of what they’d like to learn about and discuss. We’ll spend each day on a different topic. Examples of previous topics neurodiversity awareness and acceptance, current global events and genocide, and policing and legal systems. Attendees of the camp not only learn and discuss these issues; they also build skills to bring about change. We play games, make art, share food, learn about each other through storytelling, and have fun!

Why: We want to provide a space for youth to learn and identify ways they want to make their school and community better.

Accessibility: We’ll do our best to help with transportation. We’ll ask about accessiblity needs in the application.

*The camp is free to attend.
