As the Anti-CRT movement ramped up across our country and across Vermont we remain steadfast that we must continue to push our good work and vision forward and not get stuck in a place of distraction and reaction.

Vermont school districts received a combined $285 Million as part of the American Rescue Plan to be spent between 2020 and 2024. We did the research and questioned whether schools would use the money to push for transformation or to return to the status quo.

This work includes creating convening spaces for networking, offering trainings and tools, and lifting up the voices of local organizers so that our grassroots movement can be healthy and strong.

The Education for Social Justice Conference is a space for youth, educators, and community members to build relationships and learn how to transform our schools towards justice and inclusiveness. We hosted our first conference in 2023 and our second in 2024.
