Summer Social Justice Camp (Chittenden County)


Join us for our day camp focused on social justice that’s facilitated by youth for youth! Applications will open in March.

Who: for middle and high school students who live in Chittenden County

When: July 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, 31 - exact times TBD

Where: Outright Vermont (241 N. Winooski Ave.) in Burlington

What: Participants will choose topics of what they’d like to learn about and discuss. We’ll spend each day on a different topic. Examples of previous topics neurodiversity awareness and acceptance, current global events and genocide, and policing and legal systems. Attendees of the camp not only learn and discuss these issues; they also build skills to bring about change. We play games, make art, share food, learn about each other through storytelling, and have fun!

Why: We want to provide a space for youth to learn and identify ways they want to make their school and community better.

Accessibility: We’ll do our best to helfp with transportation. We’ll ask about accessiblity needs in the application.

*The camp is free to attend. Participants will receive a small stipend for each day they attend the camp.
