Summer Social Justice Camp

We had so much interest! The camp is now full!

Join us for a Summer Social Justice Camp facilitated by youth for youth!

Who: This camp is for middle and high school students who live in Chittenden County. It will be facilitated by Auishma Pradhan, Mea Ree Jan, and Eliza Willis with help from Kayla Loving.

When: July 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, and 27 11am to 4pm

Where: Outright Vermont (241 N. Winooski Ave.) in Burlington

What: Participants will choose topics of what they’d like to learn about and discuss. We’ll spend each day on a different topic. Examples of previous topics are LGBTQIA+ representation in media, asian hate and the effect it has on people of all races, the rise in gun violence, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ll also play games, make art, share food, learn about each other through storytelling, and have fun!

Why: We want to provide a space for youth to learn and identify ways they want to make their school and community better.

*The camp is free to attend. Participants will receive $25 for each day they attend the camp. You can still participate in the camp if you can’t make it to all six days. We’ll also try to help with transportation if you are in need.
