Have you been wondering what happened to the large influx of funds that Vermont schools received for COVID Recovery? We’ve done the research and have the answers for you! Join us as we launch our COVID Recovery Funding Equity Outcomes Report on Wednesday, March 8 5-6:30pm. We need to collaborate as students, educators, community members, and leaders to ensure the largest influx of federal dollars in history, the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds (ESSER) meet the needs of students across the state. In this report we highlight how ESSER III funds were spent in each district in Vermont and how this spending aligns with equity for all students.
During the event, you’ll have an opportunity to analyze the report, ask questions, identify gaps, and strategize how to move forward. With your participation and voice, we can make this a moment of transformation to ensure our schools are serving all students regardless of their identity or socioeconomic status. This event is organized by Rights and Democracy, Vermont NEA, and the Education Justice Coalition of Vermont.
