Civil Rights Summit

Register now!

The Vermont Human Rights Commission is hosting a free Civil Rights Summit Nov. 14-16 online and at Vermont State University Randolph. We are excited to be a featured speaker at the summit! We’ll be joining other civil rights advocates and community leaders around the state to talk about strategies and policy changes that can happen at the state level to safeguard our rights. Other panelists will join us from the ACLU, Migrant Justice, End Homelessness VT, CVOEO, Vermont Legal Aid, the Vermont Asylum Assistance Project, the NAACP, FreeHer, Disability Rights Vermont, Outright Vermont, and more!

The Civil Rights Summit will discuss a broad range of frontline areas of civil rights defense: housing discrimination, the rights of the unhoused, equity in education, disability justice, queer and trans rights, immigrant justice, fair and impartial policing, incarceration and civil rights, racial justice, and voting access. You’ll also hear from state agencies including the State Refugee office, the Commission on Women, the Office of Racial Equity, the Human Rights Commission, and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Register now!

EdJ will be tabling and speaking on Saturday. We hope to see you there!
