Join us for our day camp focused on social justice that’s facilitated by youth for youth! Applications have closed.
Who: for middle and high school students who live in Chittenden County
When: 12-4pm on July 23, 24, 25, 30, 31 and Aug. 1
Where: Outright Vermont (241 N. Winooski Ave.) in Burlington
What: Participants will choose topics of what they’d like to learn about and discuss. We’ll spend each day on a different topic. Examples of previous topics are LGBTQIA+ representation in media, disability rights, and gun violence. Attendees of the camp not only learn and discuss these issues; they also build skills to bring about change. We’ll also play games, make art, share food, learn about each other through storytelling, and have fun!
Why: We want to provide a space for youth to learn and identify ways they want to make their school and community better.
Accessibility: We’ll do our best to help with transportation. We’ll ask about accessiblity needs in the application.
*The camp is free to attend. Participants will receive a small stipend for each day they attend the camp.
