Toolkit: Organizing an Education Town Hall

Right now education funding and reform is a huge topic in Montpelier and could have real impacts on our schools and our pocketbooks. We are encouraging students, school workers, caregivers, and community members to come together to ensure our voices are heard. Rank and file VT-NEA members and the Education Justice Coalition of Vermont have created the VT Education Town Hall Organizing Toolkit to support communities to organize town halls. This toolkit has many amazing resources including a timeline, sample outreach materials, and even a sample slidedeck and agenda you can use for your event.

This work is timely because the key legislative crossover date is mid-March and potentially a bit later for education funding. Sign up here if you’d like to help organize a town hall and we’ll be in touch with connections and support. Contact vtneasocialjusticecaucus@gmail.com to learn more or get involved.
